Slikovnica Konstantin Veliki je svojevrsni književni medij, namenjen mladim citaocima, sa ciljem da nadvremene vrednosti naše kulturne baštine ostanu zapamcene.

U Slikovnici je opisan život Cara Konstantina Velikog. Od rodenja u rimskom gradu Naissus (današnji Niš-Srbija), bezbrižnog detinjstva, mladalaštva do odrastanja u hrabrog i snažnog mladica. Posle niza briljijantnih vojnih pobeda i politickih uspeha Konstantin Veliki je proglašen za Rimskog Imperatora. Rimski imperator Konstantin Veliki 313. godine, u današnjem Milanu, donosi zakonski akt nazvan Milanski edikt, kojim je proglašena verska ravnopravnost i prestanak progona Hrišcana koje je trajalo 300. godina. Ovaj zakon imao je presudan uticaj na dalje širenje Hrišcanstva u Svetu.

Slikovnica Konstantin Veliki je deo obeležavanja, velike proslave 2013. godine, povodom 1700 godina od donošenja Milanskog edikta.

The Picture Book Constantine The Great

The picture book Constantine the Great is a sort of a literary medium intended for the young readers, so that the priceless values of our cultural heritage can be remembered.

The picture book describes the life of Constantine the Great. It depicts his life from his birth in a Roman city Naissus (today Niš – Serbia) and his carefree childhood, till he grew up and became brave and strong young boy. After a series of military victories and political achievements Constantine the Great was declared to be the Roman emperor.

The Roman emperor Constantine the Great adopted a legal act in 313, called the Edict of Milan, that proclaimed religious toleration and the cessation of persecution of Christians that lasted for over 300 years. This act had a decisive influence on the further spreading of Christianity all over the world.

This picture book is a part of the celebration that is going to happen in 2013 concerning the Edict of Milan who was adopted 1700 years ago.
